How to download an old version of Mac OS X.
They seem designed specifically to only work for people who are upgrading Mac hardware to these older versions of Mac OS X/OS X/macOS. What’s worse is that even with the new DMGs, I still can’t make a new VM of the older OSes. But you can download 3 versions of Mac OS X from any browser. Other Questions are similar to this but not quite the same. But when I hit the 'Download’ button a message appears refusing to start the download because my MacBook Pro is too new and does not support that OS. The old versions are listed in the ‘Purchases’ list within App Store app on my Mac. I own old versions of Mac OS X, Mountain Lion in particular.
